Joining Vladimir and Anton on the evening will be special guest, Emma Langford. Emma’s vocal style blends Irish lilt with folk and jazz, with guitar work that delicately compliments an intuitive sense of melody. Langford has woven a sound which Phil Coulter describes as “a breath of fresh air”. Her wry and insightful penmanship combined with a cheerful stage-demeanour create an engaging live presence.

Vladimir and Anton were born in Bratislava, Slovakia into a family of musicians,  with both of their parents and all of their siblings playing an instrument.

Having played violins from a very early age they both chose different paths on their journey to become professional musicians.

Vladimir said: “I slightly rebelled against a strict classical route and went on a journey of personal musical exploration. I started busking on Grafton Street in Dublin and I quickly learned what people want from classical music. With this knowledge, I then commenced building my loyal audience base and becoming one of the bestselling live performers in Ireland today”

Anton said: “Unlike my brother, I took the traditional classical route, after completing my master’s degree in violin, I followed with 2 years of Solo Diploma under the direction of virtuoso Sergej Krylov in Lugano, Switzerland. Partnering with Vladimir has dynamically allowed me to connect and utilize my musical studies with exciting world of improvisation and entertainment”

The show will take place on November 29 in the University Concert Hall. Tickets are €20 and concessions are €18.
