Get ready to be dazzled and entertained this summer, with award-winning playwright Mike Finn’s new Waiting For Poirot play at the People’s Park in Limerick! A live performance is full of fun for all the family, where audiences can collectively immerse themselves in this hilarious new murder mystery while Gardai Maguire and Patterson try to figure out a whodunit!
This July, Honest Arts in association with Lime Tree Theatre the Belltable presents Waiting For Poirot, a hilarious new play by Mike Finn. Audiences will experience a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud, gripping, awe-inspiring, cliché-ridden, high-octane romp. We are excited to bring live performance to audiences once again in the wonderful setting of the People’s Park. The Waiting For Poirot play will also feature an original score by the wonderful Composer Aine Doolan. The full creative team will come together every evening to transform the park into a hive of activity. There is no doubt this is the best show you’ll see this summer. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll wish there were toilets.
The well-known and loved cast includes Jessica Bray, Myles Breen, James Corr, Michael Anthony Greene, Pius McGrath, Eva O’Connor, Elaine O’Dwyer, Eleanor O’Brien, Johanna O’Brien, Gene Rooney and Simon Thompson.
Pius McGrath & Tara Doolan Honest Arts said, “We feel privileged to have the opportunity to present one of the first live shows in the mid-west region to an ‘in person’ audience this summer. Producing Mike Finn’s hilariously funny script with a sizable and incredibly talented ensemble both on and off stage is a true delight and gives us great hope that we are now reaching the light at the end of the tunnel after an incredibly challenging time in the Arts & Events sectors.”
Louise Donlon, Director of Lime Tree Theatre said, “The team at Lime Tree Theatre | Belltable could not be more thrilled and delighted to be working with the best and brightest Limerick theatre talents. What better way to mark the beginning of the end of this terrible pandemic than a tall tale written specifically for the people of Limerick by our very own Mike Finn.”
We had a lovely day in People's Park today for the Waiting For Poirot photo call.
