Wellnice Pops are on a mission to spread the veggie love, one pop at a time. Juice is not just for drinking. #VegetableSucks!

Wellnice Pops, the brainchild of Limerick friends Trín O’ Brien and BJ Broderick, are 100% vegetable and fruit juice ice pops. Trín and BJ wanted access to healthier snacks, and so combined their skills as an Engineer and a Nutritionist to create the range. All of Their pops are free from additives including artificial colours, flavourings and sugar. As an added bonus, they are low in calories and contain vitamins and minerals.

Wellnice PopsBJ confesses that if she could only eat one type of food for the rest of her life, “it would definitely be vegetables”.  A vegetarian her whole BJ is a self-confessed “vegaholic”. BJ is a qualified Nutrition and Health Coach, having studied with the Institute of Health Science and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. BJ explained that she “feel really lucky that I wake up every day and get to work in a business I’m passionate about and with one of my best friends, Trín”.

Limerick born Trín studied engineering in college. While studying she worked in Dolans, where herself and BJ became friends. “Ten years on, after spending six years working at a ship yard in England, one cold January I sat at Beej’s kitchen table, and vowed that I didn’t want another office job”.  BJ offered Trín a solution, she had an idea about vegetable ice pops.

One of Wellnice best sellers is Frost Beet. Frost Beet has beetroot, sweet potato and apple. “Contrary to popular belief, beetroot does not always have to come pickled in a jar. The sweet potato gives this pop a really creamy texture and it is definitely one of the sweetest” explained BJ. Frost Beet is high in Zinc and a source of Folic Acid and only 28 calories.

Another pop is 2 Carat Diamond. This pop was created for those who are new to vegetable juicing. A combination of carrot, orange and ginger, it’s a universally appealing flavour. Nutritionally speaking this pops a superstar, high in Vitamin C & A and all for only 18 calories.

Wellnice pops are available in Supervalu stores in Castletroy, Corbally, Castleconnell, Kilmallock, Askeaton,  Newcastle West, Abbeyfeale and Kilrush. They are also available in Gasta Good n’ Healthy, Adare Health Food Store and Wellness Centre and Sonas Healthfoods Newcastle West.
