International company WHOOP announces plans to add more than 600 new roles globally, with hiring in Limerick to increase

Wearable health platform backed by Rory McIlroy, Niall Horan and Shane Lowry, WHOOP, has announced plans to add more than 600 new roles as the company continues to scale globally.
The hiring expansion will come as a major boost to Limerick, as its Gardens International offices are set to benefit from the scaling operations with new roles announced across Software, Research & Design, Hardware, Product, and Marketing.
Will Ahmed, Founder and CEO says investment comes at a time when companies are debating whether to back AI, but tech health company “intends to own” the health monitoring category worldwide.

“Right now, companies are debating whether to hire more people or just invest in AI,” said Will Ahmed. “We are doing both. The hiring expansion comes alongside the launch of a new employer campaign, underscoring the company’s commitment to building a world-class team as it enters its next phase of growth.
The more than 600 roles, which will be opened throughout 2026, span technical, scientific, creative, and commercial functions, reflecting a continued investment from WHOOP across hardware innovation, advanced research, product development, and global brand growth.

With the majority of the 600 roles being based at the company’s Boston headquarters, the health tech company has committed to hiring throughout North America, the GCC, Asia, and Europe, including its Limerick offices..
With approximately one hire for every 750 applicants and an acceptance rate of .13 per cent, WHOOP maintains an extremely selective hiring process. This deliberate approach enables the company to sustain high standards while expanding its global footprint.
The company provides a “wearable membership” which aims to “help people live healthier, longer lives and unlock extraordinary potential”.
Through its 24/7 wearable with a 14-day battery life, WHOOP provides health guidance across sleep, recovery, strain, fitness, and long-term wellbeing.
