Be the Voice Ireland is Watching with the Wideshot Programme 2025

GORM is excited to announce the return of the Wideshot Programme for 2025, a programme dedicated to bold and diverse storytelling. Now in its third year, this groundbreaking initiative invites aspiring creatives aged 18–30 to bring their stories to life and take their place in the spotlight.
Mamobo Ogoro, CEO and Founder of GORM said, “Well we made it to year three, with lessons learned and a fresh take on the programme. We are so excited for the third year of the programme. With the Wideshot Programme alumni going on to make their own documentaries, short films and also working as crew in the film industry, we are so honoured that this programme was that stepping stone for them to take the next step in their creative careers in the film industry. The Wideshot Programme focuses on empowering young voices, particularly from migrant, ethnically diverse, and underrepresented communities in Ireland. Through hands-on workshops, professional mentorship, and industry connections, participants will gain the skills to amplify their narratives and forge a path in the media industry.

If you’ve ever wondered, “Is this opportunity for me?” – the answer is yes! Wideshot prioritises inclusivity, welcoming individuals from all walks of life, including first- and second-generation migrants, Irish Travellers, those coming from low-income areas and young creatives from underrepresented backgrounds and ethnically diverse communities ready to make an impact.

Community Workshops: From shooting videos on your phone to full-on professional setups, we’ll help you nail the skills to tell your story like a pro.
Close Up Residency: For 10 lucky people who took part in the workshops. Think of this as the ultimate creative bootcamp—mentors, studio tours, proper gear, and a chance to pitch your idea for €2,500.
Real Industry Connections: Five participants will land legit placements with top media partners. We’re talking game-changing opportunities here.
Showcase Your Work: The winning pitcher’s creation premieres at the GORM Gathering. Yep, your story, on the big screen.
