This year we have increased our commitment to promoting Irish music by expanding the number of programmes concentrating on Irish music, Undiscovered, Éir Play, and Limrock are just a few examples.

This year also sees the return of The Irish Artist Index, where we will be picking 30 tracks from 30 Irish acts each fortnight, half current, and the other half chosen from our extensive archive of great Irish artists. The tracks will go on heavy rotation, and will be posted each fortnight on the website.

Irish Acts should send their Albums/Eps/Singles to Wired FM, Mary Immaculate College, South Circular Road, Limerick.

The exceptional quality of programming produced for the station by students was highlighted at this year’s national Craol Awards, where the station picked up a record three awards, one for specialist Irish music programme An Seo Ceol Gaelach, the LSAD produced innovative arts show Many Angles, and a special award for our coverage of The 6th Limerick Film Festival.
