The Flag Listeners play The Kasbah, Dolan’s on Friday, 29th December, 2023. The band recently released their single, The Wrong America, accompanied by a video by John Steele.
During the pandemic, guitarist and co-songwriter, John Steele, released two solo albums, All My Days and Naturally Nocturnal, while frontman Eamonn Hehir released two singles, Birdsong and Jeremiah Said So. (See youtube for videos.)
In 2017 the band released their long-awaited debut album, and other short stories, to a packed house in Dolan’s Warehouse, Limerick. Hot Press magazine’s Stuart Clark gave the album a glowing review, calling it a “songwriting masterclass from Limerick’s finest”.
The band is currently recording tracks for the follow-up record. The Kasbah gig will feature some of these new songs plus familiar tracks from the album, and other favourites from the live set.
The band’s next single, a live favourite, “The Laughing Trees” is due for release shortly.
