Every Child is Your Child Dinner Evening

Every Child is Your Child Dinner Evening is a fun-filled vintage themed evening being held in Thomond Park on Friday, April 28 to raise funds for their service.

Every Child is Your Child is a Limerick-based community group set up to help asylum-seeking parents living in Direct Provision, particularly in putting kids through school.

Every Child is Your Child to raise awareness of the troubles of living in Direct Provision. Direct provision is intended to provide for the welfare of asylum seekers and their families as they await decisions on their asylum application in Ireland. In April 2016 36% of the 4,755 people living in direct provision had been waiting for more than 5 years. Around a quarter of all residents of Direct provision centres at the end of 2015 were children. Asylum seekers are forced to live on a weekly allowance of €19.10 per week and €15.60 per child per week. Raising children is particularly challenging as they often don’t have enough room to play or live near their friends. For these reasons, Every Child is Your Child support the EndDP campaign.

Every Child is Your Child provide a temporary solution for these parents. With support from Doras Luimni, Every Child is Your Child are hoping to raise their much-needed funds in order to continue providing their service to the Limerick community

The Every Child is Your Child dinner evening, with tickets at just €30, will feature a number of inspiring key speakers, great food and entertainment acts. There will also be a raffle on the night with some great prizes up for grabs such as a signed Munster rugby jersey. The money raised through the raffle will go towards the much-needed funds for parents in need in the community.
