Registration now open for webinar series on November 4 for teachers about Green Schools initiative
Limerick City and County Council has partnered with Tipperary County Council and An Taisce to deliver a series of online training seminars to teachers about the Green School initiative.
Green Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and education programme for schools and promoted long-term, whole-school action for the environment. Green Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community.
A series of webinars has been created for teachers with registration now open.
These seminars will be hosted online through Zoom, with individually themed seminars to give specific guidance for each Green-School theme.
Each seminar will include a theme presentation and Q&A session and will last approximately 1 hour.

Promoting long-term, whole-school action for the environment Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community. The programme is operated and coordinated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce (FEE member for Ireland).
Green-School is operated in partnership with Local Authorities and is supported by the Department of Housing, Planning, Community & Local Government; Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment; Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport; The Department of Arts, Heritage Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs; Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; Irish Aid, National Transport Authority; National Parks and Wildlife Service, Irish Water and the Wrigley Company Limited.
