Greenflash Pictures, a film production company originally based in the west of Ireland, have created a heart-warming Christmas advert after setting up their offices on 56 Thomas Street just five weeks ago. In the advert the narrator follows a young couple as they do their Christmas shopping on Thomas Street in the heart of Limerick City. This cosy advert directed by Stephen Hall and produced by Paul Thompstone, stars local actors Adam Moylan and actress, Emma Healy.

Thomas street GreenFlash Pictures’ primary focus is on feature film production while also producing high quality commercials, music Videos and short films. To promote Thomas Street and small businesses located on there, Greenflash Pictures created this festive advert. Producer Paul Thompstone spoke about why Greenflash wanted to create this advert “Our reason behind it was to rekindle the interest for people to keep supporting local traders rather than heading out to shop at the bigger chains.”
He went on to speak about the success of the advert stating “We released the video at 6pm yesterday and since then the video has racked up over 16K views on facebook with more than half of the hits coming from the Limerick region.”

With both Paul Thompstone (producer) and Stephen Hall (director) originally coming from Shannon, co.Clare, their advert illustrates the simplistic, festive beauty of Christmas on Thomas Street and demonstrates Thompstone and Hall’s love for Thomas Street. The advert follows the couple on their venture for gifts in local Thomas Street shops and businesses such as Delaney Opticians, Tony Clarke School Books, Angel Times, Fringe Salon, Tadgh Kearney Jewellers and Mickey Martin’s Pub.
Greenflash Pictures’ Christmas advert aims to promote local businesses on Thomas Street and encourages people to shop local and give back to their community and locality. The advert places emphasis on the availability of services on Thomas street and aims to revive peoples interest in supporting local businesses.
