10 000 euro Fund for Performing Artists with Limerick Theatre Bursaries 2016

Limerick Arts Office is pleased to announce a new Limerick Theatre Bursaries 2016 bursary scheme to the value of €10,000.

In conjunction with the Theatre Strand of L.A.C.E. and the Belltable, the new funding scheme has been developed through the Limerick Professional Theatre Sector Needs Survey (2016) and the Limerick Cultural Strategy: A Framework 2016 – 2030.

Some of the aims of Limerick Theatre Bursaries 2016 are to support Limerick theatre and build capacity in the sector, allow practitioners the time and the financial ability to work creatively and develop their ideas, encourage development of quality new work in the city and county and promotion of regional and national interest in Limerick’s theatre scene.

It also wants to continue to foster dialogue and build strong relationships between Limerick City and County Council and the cultural sector through partnerships and collaboration working with Limerick Arts and Culture Exchange (LACE) and Professional Limerick Artists Network (PLAN).
