Shorla Pharma, based at Questum Enterprise Acceleration Centre in Clonmel Co Tipperary, is an award-winning Startup who earlier this year raised $8.3m in funding.

in 2018, Shorla develops oncology drugs with a focus on rare, orphan, and pediatric cancers. One example is a children’s cancer drug that they have redeveloped from a difficult-to-swallow capsule into an oral solution.

Sponsored by local partners ActionPoint, LIT and CPL, the event will take place virtually via Zoom. The organisers are delighted to close out the year with such an exciting startup. Gillian Barry, Head of Innovation at LIT said, “An absolute wealth of knowledge and experience has been shared through Startup Grind by some of Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs to date. We are always looking for inspirational entrepreneurs who are willing to share their valuable experience for the benefit of the Startup Community, so we are grateful to Sharon and Orlaith for embracing this opportunity”

Peter Hunt, Marketing Manager of ActionPoint feels these networking specific events are more important than ever. “When we ran our first virtual Grind in September, we were interested to hear the feedback. Local entrepreneurs were itching to get networking again and we are delighted to be able to facilitate this. We have incorporated additional networking time for December’s event in the hope that we can connect our community further when face to face meet and greets are simply not an option.”

The event takes place on December 3 rd and kicks off at 6.30 pm. Tickets are free and guests can register HERE
