‘Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series’ presents a special series of gigs that will see two of Ireland’s best live music acts, BARQ and Le Galaxie, showcase their contemporary take on two of the most memorable soundtracks of all time: Pulp Fiction and Apocalypse Now.
Many months in the making, Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series is on tour from October 2017, with BARQ performing in Dolan’s, 4 Dock Road, Limerick on Tuesday, October 17
Dubbed as one of the most exciting bands to emerge on the Irish music scene in recent years, BARQ have taken their time in reinventing and introducing their signature ‘agro-soul’ sound to one of the world’s coolest mixtapes, Pulp Fiction.
Prepare to be wowed as they reimagine Quentin Tarantino’s much-loved 1994 film soundtrack in Dolans on 17th October which will be supported by music journalist and DJ, Nialler9.
The music behind a movie can be the difference between a great movie and a cult classic, with the soundtracks living on long after the credits have rolled! Without a doubt, Pulp Fiction’s mixtape lives on beyond that iconic dance scene.
Jess Kav of BARQ explains, “We are so excited about being involved in Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series. There are so many iconic movie soundtracks to choose from, but we felt the mixture of surf, soul and rock from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack was a great fit for BARQ and complements our sound nicely.”
Tickets to Smithwick’s Soundtrack Series are priced at €15.00 which includes booking fee and a free pint of Smithwick’s (Smithwick’s Blonde, Pale or Red Ale).
