Businessman David McGowan will be the guest speaker at Network Ireland Limerick’s next event in the Savoy Hotel, Henry Street Limerick on Wednesday 12 April, from 6 pm to 8.30 pm. Network Ireland Limerick, the forum for women in business, the professions and the arts in the mid-west, is opening this event to women and men, members and non-members.
David McGowan made headlines across the world in May last year when he and a team of people transported a decommissioned Boeing 767 plane from Shannon Airport to his glamping site in Co Sligo.
During his talk “Thinking Outside the Box”, David will speak about how he won the hearts of a nation and put Enniscrone firmly on the map of the Wild Atlantic Way by thinking outside the box, sharing his vision, engaging a huge team to support him, including the media, and not taking ‘no’ as an answer.
Edwina Gore, President of Network Limerick, said “We are delighted to be bringing David McGowan to Limerick. He is a gifted storyteller and I’m sure our attendees will be inspired by his ‘can-do’ attitude and creative thinking. There are so many lessons that can be drawn from his achievement, from the importance of having a vision, to overcoming obstacles, teamwork, communications, positive thinking and so on. It promises to be an entertaining and insightful evening.”
