Show your Colours for Focus Ireland July 3 – 5 and Challenge Homelessness

This summer Focus Ireland is encouraging counties across Ireland to ‘Show Their Colours’ and help raise funds for the charity’s vital services. Focus Ireland is asking businesses and communities to wear or hang their club, county or parish colours on Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5 to brighten up villages, towns and cities across Ireland.

Focus Ireland CEO Pat Dennigan said: “The last 3 months have been extremely challenging for people across the country but ‘Show Your Colours’ is an opportunity for people to take pride in their community while raising money for our crucial services nationwide.

Focus Ireland Colours

‘Show your Colours’ aims to raise money for Focus Ireland’s important service.

Whether it’s sporting events or cultural festivals, Ireland has always been extremely proud in showing our colours but unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has meant many events have been cancelled completely. I look forward to seeing the creativity of our fundraisers in showing their colours for Focus Ireland whether, through flags, T-shirts bunting or even dying your hair.

Originally ‘Show Your Colours’ was planned to be ‘Midsummer Colours’ coinciding with Midsummer Festivals in Ireland which were cancelled due to Covid-19.

Mr Dennigan added: “We now have the opportunity to make this a national event and we are asking everyone who registers and fundraise to ‘Show Your Colours’ by sharing pictures on their social media channels and our enter a competition to win a fabulous prize.”

Joining forces with Focus Ireland for the campaign, nationally known Point to Point jockeys, Barry O’Neill, Maxine O’Sullivan and Derek O’Connor have given their support.

So from North to South, from East to West of Ireland, from Limerick to Waterford to Sligo and Clare, from Cork to Kilkenny and Wexford to Louth, from Dublin to Galway, Focus Ireland delivers services to the community as we Challenge homelessness and Change lives.
