Common Grounds Collective presents Graham Hopkins Drum Hang at Ormston House. Poster design: Lauren Varian.
Common Grounds Collective is proud and delighted to announce its debut drum clinic tour with Graham Hopkins, renowned as one of the greatest and most influential Irish drummers of his generation working with The Frames and Therapy.
Following a hectic touring schedule with Oscar-winner Glen Hansard, Graham is combining his two great passions – drums and coffee with this upcoming nationwide tour. Graham will visit 6 of Ireland’s best independent coffee shops between 21st February and 9th March, for an intimate hang out, to play and talk drums, music, and drink coffee.
Doing coffee on the night is Limerick’s Rift Coffee; a new pop-up shop that strives to improve the speciality of coffee in Limerick. Normally seen at events or marketplaces around the city, Rift Coffee has thus far left a positive impression on the City.
Common Grounds Collective serves to connect artists and creatives throughout the country in order to encourage growth and collaboration and to offer a platform for showcasing their works.
Born and raised in Ireland to the sounds of Dixieland jazz, Graham has been playing the drums since childhood. Currently, I’m busy playing with Glen Hansard, the Oscar-winning Swell Season and The Frames, amongst others. Graham has toured and recorded with a large variety of artists including Snow Patrol, Therapy, and Dolores O’Riordan. Welcome to my official website where you will find regular updates, gear porn, tour news, photos, videos and loads more.
Graham Hopkins Drum Hang takes place Tuesday, February 28, from 7:00pm-10:00 pm at Ormston House, 9-10 Patrick Street. Tickets for these tour dates are bound to sell out, so early action is highly recommended
