Small businesses and budding entrepreneurs will have a choice over 200 online and in-person events to help them to start or grow their businesses during Local Enterprise Week 2023 taking place from Monday, March 6 to Friday, March 10. 

This important national initiative developed by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) and supported by Enterprise Ireland will take place across the country and will include LEO’s ‘Key Principle’ series.    

As well as the Limerick Local Enterprise week events, this year’s schedule includes five ‘Spotlight’ events which are organised by individual Local Enterprise Offices and open to every business – wherever you’re based.

Monday, March 6.

Beginning Monday, March 6, the first day of Limerick Local Enterprise week events is an online Business Advice Clinic. Virtual one-to-one mentoring session with a designated LEO Limerick Mentor. For businesses based in Limerick only. Find out more here.

Also taking place on Monday, March 6 is ‘Cyber Threats: How to stay safe online’. AIB Business Information Security will discuss ‘The current Cyber Threat Landscape – And how to stay safe’. The webinar will cover the wider issues that affect cyber security and simple steps to protect yourself online. Book your space here.

Tuesday, March 7.

The Develop A Flight Plan for Your Business workshop will take place on Tuesday, March 7. Join Pádraic Ó Máille to examine how you can become ‘unstuck’ to grow and develop your business. Find out more here.

On the same day, March 7, is an Introduction to Self-Employment Workshop. This half day workshop will introduce help you examine how to turn your skills or idea into a business. Read here for further information.

The third event on Tuesday, March 7, is Green for Micro – One to One Business Advice Clinic. This virtual one-to-one mentoring session will help you identify how you can utilise Green for Micro to reduce costs and or increase sales in your business. Wednesday, March 8

Four events taking place on Wednesday, March 8, begin with a look at Your HR priorities in 2023, addressing key challenges, Legislation and updates for 2023. Book here.

A Future Skills for Sustainability Training Workshop for Female Entrepreneurs will take place on Wednesday, March 8. Ballyhoura Development and Limerick Enterprise Office are inviting All Female Entrepreneurs to a Future Skills for Sustainability Training / Workshop on International Women’s Day. Also on Wednesday is a Key Principles of Good Business presentation. Blaise Brosnan Keynote Speaker on the Key Principles of Good Business from 12:00-13:00 followed by a networking lunch from 13:00-13:45. Find out more here.

Thursday, March 9

A Business Idea Generation workshop will will help you identify new business opportunities and ideas for innovation. We will cover how to assess the opportunity and turn it into a viable business and develop your understanding of what is involved in starting a business. Find out more here.

Also on Thursday, March 9 is ‘Business Finance – One to One Advice Clinic’. Receive One-to-one expert business advice on your business issues or queries e.g. cashflow; when to hire an expert, credit control, costing & pricing. Register here.

Friday, March 10

A Business Planning Workshop will take place on the final day of Local Enterprise Week 2023. This online workshop on business planning will take your through the essential areas key to any business plan and train you “how to” complete your business plan. Register here.

A 30-minute overview ‘Access Funding through Your Local Enterprise Office’ followed by a Q&A, this short course will give you a run-down on how to achieve this. Find out more here.
