Claudia and Kayleigh of LoveLens answer ten questions about what inspires them, capturing memories, and the rewarding part of their work

Established in 2023 by Claudia and Kayleigh, LoveLens is a dynamic duo of wedding and event content creators based in Ireland. With a mission to immortalize candid moments and create timeless memories, Claudia and Kayleigh bring a unique blend of creativity and passion to their work.

Having recently filmed the Gossies Awards, LoveLens has quickly gained recognition for their exceptional work in capturing the essence of special occasions. The LoveLens portfolio spans across Ireland, showcasing their dedication to travel and their commitment to capturing unforgettable moments wherever they go.

What makes you proud to be from Limerick?

Kayleigh – The sense of community we have here in Limerick along with our passion for the arts. The people of Limerick always come together to support one another.

Claudia – I love being from Limerick! We have such incredible people here. Irish people in general are known for their friendliness there’s such a strong sense of community in Limerick. There are so many genuine kind people here and they truly embody the spirit of Limerick and make me proud to call it home.

Tell us about your childhood in Limerick.

Kayleigh – I did a lot of singing, dancing and acting as a child. I was in stage school growing up and was part of our local musical society’s on-stage and also as backstage crew, which will always be a core memory for me and I have made lasting friendships along the way.

Claudia – Growing up, I had the best of both worlds living on the border of Limerick. I went to Villiers School and really got to soak up the city’s lively atmosphere, which was a fun change from the peaceful country life. I loved going to local events in Limerick – everyone was always so happy and friendly. Those experiences really showed me what a great place Limerick is, filled with warm people and a strong sense of community. Every memory from those days is special to me.

Tell me a little bit about your job and what you love most about it.

Kayleigh – As a wedding|events content creator, our main goal is to preserve our clients’ memories and candid moments with storytelling through video.

What I love most about it is being able to be a part of people’s most special day of their lives, witness pure love and happiness, bringing those memories home to edit – and watch precious clips to then make them into a video that will be cherished. I’m a very emotional person so there is always a tear shed.

Claudia – As a Wedding/event content creator it’s our job to capture those raw candid moments at weddings. We blend in with the guests and we are our newlywed’s ultimate hype women! Our couple receives 1000s of unedited photos and videos the morning after their wedding and edited photos and videos 48 hours after.

I love most seeing our their wedding story from start to finish and being able to tell that story through my editing. Putting their personalities and all the moments that are so special into their videos. Seeing everyone’s joy and emotions as they come together to celebrate the couple is truly special. They’ve been there for the couple through their journey, it’s just so special to see everyone’s love for them.  

What’s the key to creating content of timeless memories?

Kayleigh – I think the key to creating timeless memories lies in the authenticity of moments. A lot of our best work comes from moments that are organically made, whilst being quick on our feet and observant, I spot a special moment brewing and I’m there! Capturing the raw emotion and translating that in our videos is key!

Claudia – I think it’s best to be alert yet subtle. I always make sure to catch every moment, whether it’s big or small, without making anyone feel like they’re being watched. I try to blend in, keeping my camera ready but not in anyone’s face. This helps keep all the smiles and tears real. By doing this, we capture the true feel of the day, making memories that are genuine and full of real emotion.

Who are your greatest inspirations in both work and life?

Kayleigh – That’s a big question! I don’t think I would have a specific person as an inspiration but I do look up to those who strive to better themselves and have compassion for others.

Whether it’s renowned creatives pushing boundaries with their work, or people making a difference in their community. It gives me inspiration to be the best I can be and spread kindness

Claudia – Without a doubt my father and my daughter. My dad worked so hard to give myself and my brother an amazing childhood.  I absolutely got my work ethic from him. He’s given me the drive to be successful. I look up to him so much and I know I’ve made him so proud and I just want to continue to do so. My daughter motivates me in life every day. I want to give her endless opportunities just as my parents gave me. She deserves the world, she has made me a better person.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Kayleigh – Definitely the feedback that we get from our clients! Especially at our weddings. There have been countless brides who have said that we were the bridesmaids that they never knew they needed!  Along with making content – we are our clients’ best friend on the day, their hype girls – whatever they need we got it! We have been told our content has brought tears to their eyes and they will cherish them forever.  Knowing that we are making a positive impact in someone’s life is just amazing!

Claudia – Being able to make such amazing friends in our couples and being able to make people happy with our videos. It’s nice to be able to make someone feel something. Makes me happy knowing I made someone smile, laugh or shed tears of happiness over one of my videos.

What have been some challenges in your career?

Kayleigh – Like any career, there are always challenges. It’s all a learning experience. Whether it’s a creative block, an adjustment to different environments or people, or even how to balance our high demand of work. Each time I face a challenge, I’ll sit back and see what I can do to make it easier for the next time and adapt.

Claudia – Balancing my career with being a mom has been my greatest challenge. Juggling the demands of being a successful businesswoman while ensuring I’m there for my daughter can be daunting. Thankfully my daughter’s father is super helpful in looking after her and being there for her when I’m not.

What advice would you give people wanting to pursue a career in your field?

Kayleigh – I would say that is it a very busy industry to work in, with plenty of opportunities to meet so many beautiful people! Keep your passion, and know that anytime you think you’re failing – it’s really a stepping stone to success. Set yourself mini goals and work towards meeting them and you will! Things don’t happen overnight so take your time.

Claudia – Dive in headfirst and embrace the journey. It might seem intimidating to step into such a significant role in someone’s wedding day, but if you have the passion and believe in your ability to capture their story, you’ll find it incredibly rewarding. Stay true to yourself, seize every moment, and let the love stories you encounter inspire your creativity.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Kayleigh – I see myself continuing to grow and thrive in my career. Facing new challenges and possibly using my knowledge and experience in this industry to help those who want to start! Also, I would definitely like to use our platform to bring awareness to important topics, inspiring others along the way.

Claudia – I envision myself thriving, living in my dream home, expanding my family, and leading a successful empire alongside Kayleigh. I’ve always believed I am going to be successful. I have big dreams. You will have to stay tuned to see what we have planned.

What do you love most about Limerick?

Kayleigh – I love how creative Limerick is. We are very much a city of arts with so many talented people. And taking a walk through the city it’s undeniable that we put love into our community. With colourful murals all around there is definitely a sense of belonging here. Along with its unique blend of history and our openness to the many cultures that we get to experience.

Claudia – I love Limerick because of its lively community and how it mixes old culture with new energy. The city is always buzzing, with events that bring everyone together. Such a great place to be and live in!
