Startup Weekend Limerick is back for its seventh year running
Startup Weekend Limerick is back for its seventh year in Limerick and will be taking place at the Bank of Ireland Workbench on 125 O’Connell Street.
The 54-hour event taking place from Friday, November 3 at 6.30pm to Sunday, November 5 until 9 pm will provide startup entrepreneurs with the chance to experience the highs, lows, fun and pressures that make up life at a startup.
The event which is sponsored by Bank of Ireland and partnered globally with Google, will show budding entrepreneurs how to create a real company, and give them the chance to meet the very best mentors, investors, co-founders, and sponsors who are ready to help them get started.
You will get the chance to pitch your business idea on Friday night and the best ideas will be put into action. Teams will come out with several developed companies or projects. Finally, the weekend culminates with demonstrations in front of an audience of judges and potential investors.
The start-up judges for this weekend’s events include LIT president Dr. Vincent Cunnane, Dr. Philip O’Regan, the Dean of the Kemmy Business School, Dr. Maeve Liston, director of enterprise and community engagement, Mary Immaculate College and Deirdre Twomey, the branch manager of Bank of Ireland in the heart of Limerick.
