The Milk Market Limerick is set to stage a series of fun and exciting events, beginning with the return of “Music at the Milk Market” on Fridays — a great attraction with different groups playing for a few hours every lunch time, some old favourites from last year mixed with a few interesting new comers to the market will be entertaining you for free as you enjoy the market, browsing the shops and stalls and meeting up with old friends while making new ones.

According to David O’Brien, Market Manager, “We all know the Milk Market is rightly famous for its Saturday market. However, since the market’s redevelopment as an all-weather facility, it has been the ambition of the Limerick Market Trustees to stage both exciting multi-day markets and special events… sometimes combining both. Ahead of us this year will be a number of family events, extra market days and a few exciting surprises.”

The shops and stalls will be offering all-day family ‘munch and lunch’ deal options to suit all tastes ranging from grill-bar beef lunches and savoury crêpes to vegetarian dishes and delicious desserts, with a variety of stalls to browse and shop.

If anyone wishes to consider the Milk Market as a venue to trade, host a charity event or thinks it might be an interesting venue for a special occasion, then they should get in touch and explore the possibilities.

David O’Brien adds “the Milk Market provides an opportunity for anyone considering a special event to come and see the venue in use in different ways over the coming months. We are very excited about the growing potential of the market as a venue and believe it has become the epicentre of some great ‘happenings’ in Limerick City. In the meantime, if anyone is interested in organising or sponsoring an event at the market we would love to hear from them.”
