The Lime Tree Theatre & Belltable are key parts of the national and regional cultural infrastructure and comprise a 510 seat theatre on the campus of Mary Immaculate College and a 220 seat theatre in Limerick’s city centre. Both venues are funded by the Arts Council and Limerick City & County Council has recently pledged a five-year funding commitment to Belltable, as the municipal arts venue for the city.

The programme at Belltable includes work by local, regional and national performing companies, and is the home of independent cinema in Limerick, presenting the very popular IFI@Belltable programme every Monday. A key part of the remit of the organisation is the capacity building, mentoring and support programme for artists, Belltable:Connect.

The Belltable programme complements the programme at the Lime Tree Theatre which is a varied mix of artistic and commercial work of scale.

In preparation for a new period of development and expansion post-COVID, the company now wishes to recruit two new members of staff who will become part of a small, hardworking and dedicated team and to make a significant contribution to the development of the arts in Limerick.

Programme Manager

Reporting to the Theatre Director, the Programme Manager will be responsible for:

–       Supporting the Director in delivering on the aims and objectives of the company’s five year strategy;

–       Working as part of the Lime Tree Theatre/Belltable team to deliver a vibrant, innovative and inclusive programme of performing arts events and activities;

–       Collaborating with the Director to curate, programme and manage the overall artistic programme of the organisation and particularly the Belltable;

–       Leading the continued operation and development of the Belltable:Connect artist capacity building programme, and the day-to-day management of the Belltable Hub;

–       Producing or co-producing work for the Belltable and Lime Tree Theatre stages.

The successful candidate will have a strong creative vision and have a track-record of working with a wide range of artists within the performing arts. Experience of artist development programmes and/or work in producing theatre is highly desirable. A knowledge and interest in cinema will be a significant advantage.

This is a key appointment for the organisation and will require a person of proven artistic, organisational and administrative skills with a high degree of interpersonal and communication ability and a collaborative mind-set. The successful candidate will display a strong sense of audience demands and of community and stakeholder consultation and participation.

Senior Marketing Executive

Reporting to the Marketing & Development Manager, the Senior Marketing Executive will have responsibility for implementing the company’s marketing strategy. The Lime Tree Theatre and Belltable play host to a wide range of performances and events and it will be the responsibility of the Senior Marketing Executive, working closely with the team, to implement the strategy for the organisation and its two venues.

The successful candidate will have at least three years’ marketing experience and, ideally, an excellent working knowledge of the performing arts. They will have excellent written communication and organisational skills and have experience of working across the various social media platforms, including the generation of content. A proficiency in graphic design software such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop will be highly desirable.

Interested candidates should forward a letter of application and CV to [email protected] with the position applied for clearly marked in the subject line before 12pm on April 16th 2021.
