David Moran passed away last September but his family decided to give back to the unit that David had spent a lot of his time. David loved the sea side town of BallyBunion so his family really felt compelled to begin the memorial cycle in BallyBunion and end it in Bawnmore.

The High Dependency Unit in Bawnbore looks after people who need more intensive observation, treatment and nursing care than is possible in a general ward. The High Dependency Unit does phenomenal work for the patients of the Brothers of Charity.

Charity cycle is truly a spectacular day out for all the family, not just for the cyclists. Refreshments, such as teas and coffees will be served before start off at 10am in Ballybunion. As well as refreshments, there is a playground for the children located in BallyBunion located at the beginning at the cycle!

It’ll be a perfect family day out as well as all the money raised will go straight to the High Dependency Unit! As this is a one-route cycle, Ballybunion to Bawnmore Limerick, cyclists can drop off their bikes on the Friday evening from 6pm to 8pm at Bawnmore. All bikes will be tagged & transported down and Will be below waiting for cyclists for the Saturday morning.

The registration of the memorial cycle costs €50 and for the first 100 people that register will be receive a beautiful jersey free of charge! Cyclists will be then bused down on the Saturday morning with all buses leaving Bawnmore at 7am. Refreshments, teas & coffees been served before start off which is 10am.

Foynes is the half way stop, in the Bawnmore day centre, directly behind the church in Foynes, where cyclists will be served teas, coffees, freshly made sandwiches, Fruit, water refills and of course Jaffa Cakes.

It truly is for an amazing cause very close to Pamela and all of her family’s heart so if you can support it in anyway then gets involved! It’s really easy as all links are below! We hope to see you all there.
