St Saviours Drama Group bring ‘House of Secrets’ to the Belltable March 21 and 22, 2024

The upcoming world premiere of St Saviours Drama Group’s new play ‘House of Secrets’ comes to the Belltable, opening on March 21 and running until March 22, 2024
The group are thrilled to get back on the Belltable stage this spring with ‘House of Secrets’ and the story is about the folk on Carey’s Hill who are gathering for the wake of Seamus Duggan. Just a respectable service to celebrate the life of a hard-working farmer, cherished by his loving family. But when his son, Michael returns from Texas, the secrets of the tight family unit are shattered by a murder. Nobody can leave the crime scene. Nobody is safe. And, everyone is a suspect.
This brand new dramedy explores the complexity of families, their relationships, and how they respond when an inheritance is dangling in the air. St. Saviours embark on a new journey with this genre of theatre. Written by cast member Tadgh Collopy, this is a bold and brave move for St. Saviours once again! The challenge never seems to faze this group and this year is no exception,” said director, Karen Fitzgibbon.
St. Saviours Community Drama Group who formed in 2011 in the CIE club, as a pilot community drama group with six members and no expectations. Eleven years later, St. Saviours have emerged as one of Limerick’s most active Community Drama Groups, with 13 previous sell-out shows under their belt, three short films and a STAR Award nomination.
The purpose of St Saviours Community Group is to give people an outlet in the community. Since their formation in September 2011, St. Saviours Community Drama Group has gone from strength to strength, writing and producing all their own scripts and selling out shows in the Belltable.
St. Saviours Community Drama Group is supported by the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, Limerick Community Education Network and The Limerick City and County Arts Office.
