The International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS) will hold its 32nd Annual Conference in Limerick from Friday, October 28 to Monday, October 31.

It is the first-ever hybrid IADMS conference as it will feature over 500 leaders worldwide attending both in-person and online, providing access to all those who want to attend.

The IADMS was formed in 1990 and is a global network of medical professionals, educators, dancers and researchers.

It is an inclusive organization for professionals who care for those who dance, evolving best practices in dance science, education, research, and medical care to support optimal health, well-being, training and performance.

The IADMS is committed to dancer’s health and improving health through dance by offering and sharing educational events and growing a library of resources for those who serve dancers.

The IADMS 2022 conference will take place in three locations in and near the University of Limerick campus. In-person participants will be able to attend all live sessions in Limerick, while those attending the conference remotely can access presentations in real-time via live stream.

The conference will be held in the Castletroy Park Hotel on Friday, October 28. It will then be held in the University Concert Hall, UL Main Building and Irish World Academy of Music and Dance (UL) for the duration of the program.

There will also be several networking events happening in between conferences and group sessions.

Drop-in sessions to learn Irish dance will happen throughout the weekend, hosted by students from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in their spacious dance studios.

At the Student Social and the Student-to-Student networking events, attendees will be able to meet with the students enrolled in the IADMS. A Student-to-Professional event will also be available for students to hear and connect with esteemed professionals in the field.
