With excitement reaching fever pitch ahead of the start of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, the International Rugby Experience (IRE) have announced an exclusive screening afternoon this Saturday for Ireland v Romania (kick-off 2.30pm).
Comedian, actor and rugby podcaster Tom O’Mahony will host the afternoon’s live match broadcast and aside from the laughs, attendees will also enjoy goodie bags and half-time treats. After full-time, fans can then explore the Experience, moving through six awe inspiring stages, and testing their kicking, handling, strength and running skills – with virtual coaching from some famous faces from the Ireland squad.
Those wishing to attend are requested to select the date of the game, Saturday, September 9, and book one of the special time slots that afternoon, between 4.15pm-5.15pm. There is no additional cost – entry to the screening is included in the regular admission price of just €10 for children (under 18) and €15 for adults.
International Rugby Experience CEO, Barry Hannon, said, “We’re delighted to screen the start of Ireland’s Rugby World Cup adventure; the excitement around the country is palpable and we’re all hoping this is the start of a very long stay in France for the team. This screening in our “Dugout” space will be a real family-friendly experience – with the added bonus of being able to tour the International Rugby Experience after.”
The Experience, which launched to much fanfare in May of this year, is a fully immersive, hands on, multi-sensory experience designed to engage and inspire families and individuals alike. With Rugby World Cup fever engulfing fans, there is no better time to journey through what it takes to become a Legend of the Game. With six stages rooted in World Rugby’s values of Passion, Discipline, Integrity, Solidarity and Respect, the ardent rugby fan will find plenty of entertainment with families and more casual fans also enjoying a world of interactive fun in the Home of Legends.
