The First Aid Response Course that is being offered is PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) accredited. This course for new volunteers will be delivered over the course of ten weeks in-person.

The Red Cross are also appealing to the youth in Limerick to get involved in First Aid training. A separate open night will be held the following day, Friday, September 23 in the Ashbourne Business Park from 7:30pm until 8:30pm.

Anyone taking the course will qualify as a Cadet upon completion and can then build their way up through The Irish Red Cross organisation.

Irish Red Cross Limerick commented on their site, “The final result we strive to achieve is a confident and certified young First Aider with the ability to help those in need during an emergency without risking injury to him or herself.”
