Joanne Begley has released a series of heartfelt end-of-life journals
Born in Limerick, author Joanne Begley has released her transformative self-help books, ‘For After I’ve Gone’. These groundbreaking journals are uniquely designed to support individuals in leaving behind cherished messages, wisdom, and lasting memories for their loved ones after they’ve passed away.
‘For After I’ve Gone’ is a touching and poignant creation, meticulously crafted to assist both the person and their loved one in navigating the emotional journey that comes with impending loss. By providing a platform for recording feelings, insights, and personal anecdotes, the book becomes a testament to the enduring bond between generations.
The book revolves around the concept that stories should be shared while there is still time. Too often, cherished stories and unspoken sentiments remain unshared, leaving loved ones longing for a connection to their family’s history and values. Joanne beautifully addressed this concern, encouraging individuals to seize the moment and bridge these generational gaps through heartfelt expression.
Joanne Begley, a compassionate author born in Limerick, brings a fresh perspective to the discourse surrounding end-of-life experiences. Drawing inspiration from personal encounters, including a diagnosis of an incurable brain condition in 2018 and caring for a friend facing MND, Joanne recognized a pressing need for a tool like “For After I’ve Gone.”
As she explains, “Preparing for our departure from this world can offer comfort to those we leave behind. It is a vessel for all the unspoken words, a means to ensure that our legacies are preserved.” She further adds. ” I don’t want to make a million from it but I do want to make a difference.”
The book launch event on September 14th at the Hope Cafe in Shannon, Co Clare, was a moving and inspiring occasion and donations from the launch went to Milford Hospice and MND Ireland.
Joanne’s work is fuelled by a passionate commitment to transforming the way society approaches death and dying.
