Brand new Lidl Dock Road store to open Thursday, April 27

Lidl Ireland will open a new store in Limerick on Thursday 27th April 2023 at 8.00 am, creating 25 new jobs at the store, and bringing the new Dock Road team to 32 employees 

The eagerly anticipated store will have a spacious layout featuring high ceilings and wide aisles. The store will provide increased natural light for customers and staff alike with glass fronted glazing, LED lighting, roof mounted solar panels and an energy-efficient system provided by 100% green energy. The store grounds will provide ample customer car parking with EV charger points.

As part of the opening on Thursday 27th April, Lidl will provide a number of complimentary vouchers to the first customers through the door on the morning alongside offering huge savings on middle aisle favourites including a 50’ 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, espresso machines, stand mixers, food processers and much, much more.

The new store will also support many local suppliers in the region including Ballyneety-based Ishka who supply the retailer with spring water and Ballyhoura’s Applewood Farm who have supplied the retailer with a selection of award-winning condiments since 2018.

Commenting on the new Lidl Limerick store located on Dock Road, Lidl Store Manager, Sinead Skehill said the team “have been working really hard behind the scenes” to get the store ready.

“We look forward to the doors opening next week and welcoming customers to experience the brand-new store including larger aisles, higher ceilings and a bakery area with freshly baked breads and pastries, one of Lidl’s most popular features,” she said.

To mark the opening of the brand-new Lidl store, the store team at Lidl Dock Road will donate €1,000 in Lidl vouchers to the Make a Wish Foundation. The Make a Wish Foundation has worked with thousands of children to help their dreams come true and give them a break away from hospitals, painful treatments, loneliness and fear.

From Thursday 27th April Lidl’s Dock Road store will open daily: Monday – Saturday 8:00am – 10:00pm, and Sunday 9.00am – 9:00pm.
