The celebration marked the conclusion of the Christmas season, symbolising the significance of Women’s Little Christmas or Nollaig na mBan. The celebration deeply rooted in Irish culture, brought women together to celebrate, share, and be supportive in each other’s company.

The tradition, originating in Ireland, had historical roots in shifting household chores to men for the day, allowing women a well-deserved break to enjoy quality time with family and friends. In contemporary Ireland, the day is an opportunity to celebrate the strength and achievements of women in our communities.
