Discussed in the opening episode of I Love Limerick’s Podcast show, were the recent events that took place in Limerick last week, such as the announcement that Limerick boutique, Ciara’s Closet will be donating ten percent of their profits from the sale of their Debs dresses to the Midwest branch of Focus Ireland. Also spoke about was how Limerick local, Greg O’Shea was crowned the winner of Love Island 2019. 

Also discussed in the podcast were other news stories in Limerick, such as Emmett Daly who has released his new single ‘Bodies’ and the announcement that the Ryder Cup 2026 will take place at the Adare Manor. Also mentioned was the news that Marks and Spencers will be moving into Arthurs Quay in the next few years.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
