Limerick Youth Theatre is welcoming applications for 2023 from anyone aged between 16 – 23 years who are interested in theatre

It’s that time of year when Limerick Youth Theatre (LYT) welcome applications from anyone aged between 16 – 23 years who are interested in theatre and would like join the theatre group.
LYT is a company of young performers, dancers, writers, designers, directors, producers and film-makers, located in the city of Limerick.
The theatre group holds weekly workshops with artists and directors from October to June and presents a full-length production in August.
Besides the summer production, LYT produces films, radio plays, participates in festivals, collaborates with artistic groups across Limerick.
“If you are thinking about joining but not quite sure how it might benefit you, here are a few reasons why you might consider it; you’ll make new friends with like-minded creative young people from all walks of life,” said a Limerick Youth Theatre spokesperson.
Participants get the chance to work with brilliant professional directors and artists who help them develop their creative and problem-solving skills, build their confidence and help them to learn new skills.
Here’s how it works, if you are interested, all you need to fill in an application form and then
take part in an audition.
The auditions will take place on Saturday, September 30 at The Basement, 73 O’Connell Street, Limerick, with the day of auditions kicking off at 11am.
