Love Parenting – Limerick Loves Parenting!
Parenting Limerick hosted a Positive Parenting Gathering in honour of National Parenting Week that ran from October 20-26 in the Limerick City Library, The Granary and it was a great success!
At the event Parenting Limerick announced the upcoming launch of their brand new website, Loveparenting.ie which will act as a one stop shop for information and support on Positive Parenting for the people of Limerick.
The vibrant morning was filled with interactive demonstrations on Positive Parenting from infant massage to the use of puppets and stories to promote positive interactions with children. The event was supported by many parenting and family support groups and was attended not just by parents, but also by grandparents, foster carers and children.
The event provided an opportunity for parents to access information about supports available to them around the city. Speaking at the event one parent said that the event gave her confidence “to shape and mould an awesome little person”. Parenting Limerick look forward to having parents click on the loveparenting.ie website when it launches next month on November 25.

The members of Parenting Limerick believe that parenting is the most important job in the world, but it is also the most challenging. Children need a warm, positive relationship with their parents and carers in order to develop to their full potential, and parents and carers need to feel confident and supported in their parenting role in order to nurture these relationships. This is what Positive Parenting is all about, but that doesn’t mean that it is easy. The LoveParenting.ie web-site is being developed to provide support when you most need it. Parenting should be a fun and rewarding experience, but you really don’t need to do it alone!
