‘Making Waves’ comes to the Belltable, is a magical sea voyage which sets sail in search of hidden treasure and along the way encounters rolling waves, sparkling fish and swooping gulls. This immersive show is specially designed to be enjoyed by children with additional needs and their families.

Making Waves is an immersive multi-sensory dance theatre performance designed specifically for disabled children and young people aged 8 to 13 years with mild to complex needs.

This magical sea voyage sets sail in search of hidden treasure and along the way encounters rolling waves, sparkling fish and swooping gulls. This immersive show is specially designed to be enjoyed by children with additional needs and their families.

Audience members are seated together in pods representing boats on stage, enabling everyone to become part of the adventure. The specially designed boats are accessible for wheelchair users and can accommodate both wheelchair users and their families.

Duration 30 mins with 15 mins sensory play time.

Jess Rowell is an inclusive dance artist, facilitator and maker of multi-sensory dance theatre for young people with additional needs. Inclusivity is at the heart of their practice and Jess is committed to making dance accessible for all. They have performed, collaborated and directed work in both professional and community contexts for over 14 years.
