Munster Heart Foundation fundraiser ‘Casino Royale’ raises funds for cardiology services in UHL
The Munster Heart Foundation fundraiser ‘Casino Royale’ is taking place at The Savoy Hotel, Limerick on New Year’s Eve from 8 pm.
The Munster Heart foundation has been growing steadily in 2019 with various fundraising events but this is their most ambitious event to date.
They expect it to be a highlight of the social calendar in the city. They are continuing to raise funds for an Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) machine with a target of €120,000. This machine will be a great addition to the already world-class facility and services offered by the Cardiac services in UHL.
Sincere thanks to The Savoy Hotel for the wonderful evening last night to launch Casino Royale. Tickets selling fast so don’t delay in supporting this great cause ❤️? contact: [email protected] 086-8216762 #munsterheart #casinoroyale #bubblesatmidnight https://t.co/Ly2z0LJokv

Speaking on behalf of the Munster Heart Foundation, Prof. Tom Kiernan & Dr Samer Arnous are taking the opportunity to raise awareness about heart attacks and heart disease saying, “Cardiovascular disease is the single most common cause of death in Ireland and across the western world. Heart disease is becoming more prevalent because of changes in lifestyle, diet, lack of exercise and smoking.”
The cardiology department at University Hospital Limerick is a modern, state of the art facility providing 24/7 care to patients. It is one of just five nationally designated Heart Attack Centres that provide 24/7 care for cardiac emergencies.
The department at University Hospital Limerick provides this emergency heart attack service for the people of Limerick, Clare, Kerry, and Tipperary.
The Cardiology department also has a strong research output in collaboration with the University of Limerick and strives to continually introduce new and innovative treatments to patients.
The Munster Heart Foundation, in conjunction with University Hospital Limerick, would like to extend their gratitude to the public for their support of their fundraisers and in helping them deliver the best care for our patients.
Tickets for the event are €100 per person and include champagne on arrival, 5-star buffet, 4 bars and 3 floors, including 80’s music with RTE Lyrics, Lorcan Murray. All proceeds from this event go towards cardiology services for the Midwest.
