Regatta Great Outdoors to launch second Limerick store on Thurs Oct 29

Urban roamers and outdoor adventurers, form an orderly queue: Regatta Great Outdoors is set to open its sixth Irish standalone store, and it’s second in Limerick, on Thursday, October 29th.

Regatta Great Outdoors, renowned for affordable and stylish outdoor apparel for men, women and children, will open its doors next week at Arthurs Quay Shopping Centre, creating 10 jobs, with an additional five jobs planned for the next six months.

The store is the second Regatta Great Outdoors in Limerick, with Brian Fox, Ireland Country Manager for Regatta Great Outdoors, explaining: “We knew Limerick was a very strong market for Regatta as our store in the Crescent Shopping Centre has consistently been one of the highest-performing of all Regatta Stores in Ireland. Limerick is the retail capital of the mid-west, plus it’s a vibrant, active city with a thriving student life, and has long enjoyed a reputation for sporting excellence, making it the natural choice for another Regatta store.”

Welcoming the news, Dr James Ring, Limerick Chamber CEO said, “We’re delighted to see Regatta Great Outdoors, an established retail brand with a solid track record, open a store in the city centre. The new store and the employment it will provide is a welcome addition to Limerick’s retail mix as the city centre takes on a new lease of life. Limerick Chamber will continue to play its part in improving the retail offering and vibrancy of our city.”

When Regatta Great Outdoors opens its doors on October 29th, shoppers at Arthurs Quay can expect affordable clothes that are stylish yet weatherproofed, and are just as suitable for the school run as they are for hillwalking and other outdoor adventures.

To celebrate the opening at Arthurs Quay, ex Ireland and Munster rugby player Marcus Horan will be on hand to meet customers while the first 100 shoppers through the door at 10am on Thursday, October 29th will receive a fabulous gift of a classic Regatta fleece.
