Limerick Suicide Watch has announced that they have purchased three River Rescue Robots to help them on their patrol of the Shannon River in Limerick City. The robots will be vital in providing a quick response to anyone in trouble in the water.

Two of the robots will be stationed along the river, with the consent of Limerick City and County Council, and the third robot will be onboard the Limerick Suicide Watch patrol vehicle.

There will be an official announcement from Limerick Suicide Watch when the River Rescue Robots arrive.

The team posted the news on their Instagram account and expressed their gratitude for the continued support they receive from Limerick people and others further afield.

“On a very positive note, we would like to announce that we have secured the purchase of three motorised Life Buoys or Havospark River Rescue Robots,” announced Limerick Suicide Watch. This new equipment will play a vital role in the safe and quick response to a person in the water. Once the equipment has arrived, we will provide a visual example of how it will work and further help us to continue doing the work we do, saving lives.”
