second jobs fair for Regeneration areas offers more employment opportunities
Second Jobs Fair in Ballinacurra Weston will provide even more opportunities for local people to kick start their careers later this month

The first of the Jobs Fairs for 2023 took place in Moyross Youth Academy with over 200 attending the event. Over 20 employers and agencies were present on the night.
Stands at the Jobs Fair in Ballinacurra Weston include: Mr. Price, Lidl, Tesco, Jimmy C College of Makeup, Virgin Media, Johnson & Johnson, Maldron Hotel, Supermacs, Gleeson Sports, Bidvest Noonan, Fitzgerald’s Skip Hire, FAI ETB Player Development Programme, An Garda Siochana, The Defence Forces, Our Lady of Lourdes Community Services Group.

The Jobs Fair for Limerick’s four regeneration areas, introduced in 2022, is an initiative of the Outreach to Employment Programme. The events put residents in direct contact with companies and provide information on further education and training opportunities. Attendees can also find out about supports available to them.
The Mayor of the City and County of Limerick, Cllr Francis Foley said:
“The Jobs Fairs are proving to be a huge success again this year and it is clear there is a demand from both employers and the regeneration communities. It was great to see so many people turning out at the event in Moyross last month and I am sure there will be similar interest in Ballinacurra Weston. They provide a great opportunity for local people to engage directly with employers and services that can put them on the path to a new career.”
Director of Regeneration, Sports and Recreation at Limerick City and County Council, Joe Delaney said:
“There will be a broad range of employers attending the event on Wednesday evening to meet with the local community to discuss the various employment and training options available. It is a great opportunity for residents and people of the neighbouring communities to see what is on offer’.
Jobs Fairs in St Mary’s Park and Southill will take place on later dates.
