Bonjour from Shannon Airport! To celebrate the new Paris Charles De Gaulle route with Aer Lingus, I Love Limerick have teamed up with Shannon Airport to give one lucky person a pair of tickets to the City of Lights!

Fly from Shannon to Paris, a city of love, a city of history, culture, brie and baguettes, champagne and the Eiffel Tower! ooolala!

To promote the giveaway, I Love Limerick have created a humorous promotional video which you can watch on both I Love Limerick and Shannon Airport’s Instagram. Shannon Airport has launched its new winter schedule where passengers will be able to choose between 188 weekly flights, across 22 destinations in the UK, Europe, and the US. A highlight of the winter schedule will see flights to Faro and Liverpool operate throughout winter for the very first time, as well as the return of Turin for those skiing holidays and Gran Canaria for winter sun.

While a further 200 additional flights have been added during the school midterms, to make those family getaways easier. The new jam-packed Shannon Airport  winter schedule will run from October 29, 2023 to March 30, 2024.

The year-round Shannon Airport to Paris Charles De Gaulle service is timed to coincide with the Rugby World Cup and will run until January 7th, 2024, before taking a short break and recommencing on March 14th to October 29th, 2024.

Mary Considine, CEO of The Shannon Airport Group said, “After a busy peak summer season, it is fabulous to see passengers aboard the first flight of our new Aer Lingus service to Charles de Gaulle. In addition to creating a gateway to the Rugby World Cup, we know this will be a popular destination for family, friends, and couples alike, wanting to explore the history, culture, and cuisine of Paris, while providing a vital connection from Shannon to a major European City.

“This service is another win for the region. It will not only boost the West of Ireland economy, but it will also be of great benefit to the rich and diverse tourism trade all along the Wild Atlantic Way. We are delighted to work with our long-standing airline partners Aer Lingus, to provide this fantastic service,” Ms Considine continued.

The new service is a major boost for Shannon and is expected to be an extremely popular destination for leisure and business travellers. The service is timed to allow for passengers travelling from Paris to connect onwards from Shannon to New York JFK and Boston via Aer Lingus.

Charles de Gaulle is one of Europe’s busiest airports serving 119 countries worldwide. Ah Paris, the city that makes the heart sing!  There is only one Paris! Paris it’s not a city, it’s a world!
