Sysco, Ireland’s largest food service provider, has confirmed 50 additional full-time jobs at its main support and regional distribution facility in Newcastle West, Limerick as part of its latest phase of a multimillion-euro investment in the facility.

With the addition of these new roles, the total headcount at the Limerick facility will surpass 400. Sysco employs 1,550 across its 9 facilities nationwide and is actively recruiting across all departments.

Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan welcomed the announcement during a visit to the facility today, “Sysco is a global leader in the food service industry and their commitment to investing in an additional 50 new full-time positions at its Newcastle West facility is a real boost to the region. It is a welcome and positive injection, delivering significant economic benefits and playing a pivotal role in sustaining our local prosperity.

The roles will have a significant positive impact on the local economy, further establishing Sysco as one of the largest employers in the area.”

Mark Lee, CEO of Sysco Ireland, confirmed that recruitment has already begun, stating: “This investment and job creation programme reinforces our long-standing commitment to Newcastle West and will help us realise our growth ambition countrywide.
