Aaron began his challenge on Tuesday, July 11 on a route from Corbally to UL, Annacotty and then as far as Old Barracks Coffee Roastery in Birdhill, before making the 42.2km journey back.

Currently on day ten of twelve, Aaron has prevailed throughout the challenge, even completing one of the marathons during the hottest day of the year, a scorching 29 degrees.

Speaking about why he chose Pieta House and Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation as the beneficiaries of his run, Aaron explained that the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation had provided exceptional care for his two cousins, Isobel and Tess, who sadly passed away at a young age, while Pieta House has helped him through challenging times in his own life.

“This challenge is only a fraction of the struggle that the families and individuals who are helped by these charities face on a daily basis,” Aaron commented on his challenge.

“To be able to help raise the much-needed donations and funds for these incredible charities is an honour. Thanks in advance to everyone who gives a few bob, lends a hand and who has supported me from the beginning of this journey. I hope I can make you and these incredible charities proud.”

So far, Aaron has raised an amazing €5,130 out of his €5,000 target, but there is still time to donate to this incredible fundraiser HERE
