Limerick City and County Council in collaboration with Metropolitan Workshop are developing a Framework Plan for the Arthurs Quay development of Limerick city and is hosting a Public Engagement Event to look at the future of the area
Limerick City and County Council is seeking the public’s views on the future of the future Arthurs Quay development of Limerick City Centre
Join Limerick City and County Council (LCCC) at the Citizen Innovation Lab on Sarsfield Street (former Dunnes Stores V94 DW21) today, Friday, June 23, up to 7.00pm.
Limerick City and County Council in collaboration with Metropolitan Workshop are developing a Framework Plan for the Arthurs Quay area of Limerick city which will set out the guidelines for a comprehensive, plan-led and place-based approach to the redevelopment of this area and lead to the transformation of the city centre.
Building on the Limerick Development Plan 2022-2028 and the Limerick 2030 plan, the Arthur’s Quay Framework will advance the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF) funded World Class Waterfront project.
LCCC want to explore how we might make this key part of the city centre a more attractive, appealing and better functioning place for all its users. They believe public views and experience help understand what makes this part of the city great and as it develops, how it can be improved.
The display exhibition provides background information on the framework, a snapshot of the analysis completed to date and the opportunity to contribute your views and feedback.
Vincent Murray, Director of Planning, Environment and Place-Making with Limerick City and County Council said, “We are excited to have this opportunity to get the public involved and share their views on the future of what is a really important part of the city centre”.
