Burlesque and Bubbles in Limerick City Studio

The first ever Burlesque and Bubbles workshop is happening in Limerick this August 14th at Eva Birdthistle’s photography studio on Thomas Street.

The talented aerialist, burlesquer and performer, Foxy P.Cox will be teaching an introduction to Burlesque, suitable for everyone who wants an evening of fun, laughter and confidence boosting. The idea came about while photographing a Boudoir Couture client who mentioned Foxy as an amazing teacher.

Burlesque is no longer looked upon as being just a form of entertainment, women are now learning pole dancing for fitness & fun. And if you can learn something that lifts your confidence then why not?

Foxy P.Cox is a prolific and accomplished performance artist, well known on the Irish scene. Corks very own flame haired fire cracker commands a stage with effortless grace and poise, drawing her audience into another world. She brings her love of burlesque, aerial pole and acrobatics to a whole new level, infused in a crazy sexy circus feel.

What about the Bubbles? They are just to settle the nerves, if needed. Price for the workshop and bubbles is €40.

Boudoir Couture is a service ran by professional photographer Eva Birdthistle Photography. On her websire Eva explains: “I love taking photos. Well, actually it’s a little more than just taking photos. I love that moment when a client looks at their image and gets emotional. When a mum or dad sees the personality of their child in a single image, or when a women sees what I see through my lens, her real beauty.”

Eva offers women the chance to be professionally photographed in an intimate way. The sessions are often inspired by themes such as Burlesque, Film Noir, Marilyn Monroe and Bridal. 

Honest reviews on the ‘Boudoir Couture’ Facebook page feature words like “empowering”, “inspiring”, “beautiful” and “sexy”. One review says: “One of the most empowering experiences of my life. Every woman should do it.”
