Dance Limerick has released its Autumn/Winter 2023 programme. Dive in to discover the best of dance in Limerick in the coming months, from performances to classes for adults and children, opportunities for professional dancers and many more exciting projects.

Speaking about the programme, Mary Wycherley, Director of Dance Limerick told I Love Limerick, “As Autumn arrives, we at Dance Limerick, are looking back at a Summer season that celebrated the spirit of connection through dance. Our exciting new autumn/winter programme has space for everyone and includes performances, residencies, associate artists, professional & community classes, workshops, projects and a festival.”

The season kicks off in September with a full range of classes for all audiences on offer and a music and dance-packed Culture Night on the 22th.

Morning classes for the professional community will run every Friday, with a few extra workshops from guest teachers and artists in residence throughout the season. Our youngest audiences and their families will be able to enjoy two new dance shows for children in the month of October.

In November, the seventh edition of Light Moves Festival will feature vibrant encounters bridging dance, digital and screen-based practices and Angie Smalis and Colin Gee will premiere their newest piece ‘All the Relations’. Community projects and classes run Sept – December.

The Dance Limerick Director said, “Dance Limerick is proud of the many partnerships and collaborations with artists, organisations and audiences that have made this programme possible. Browse our programme, pick a class or join us at our performance space in John’s Square. We would love to see you.”

“As we change seasons, I warmly invite you to join our next dance adventures for the 2023 Autumn/ Winter Dance Limerick season. I’m looking forward to the many events this Autumn and beyond as we dance together cultivating communities and empowering artists.”
