Limerick hurling captain Declan Hannon has teamed up with Sicsock in support of Novas, a voluntary organisation that works with families and single adults who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

He is joined by former Dublin footballer Alan Brogan to launch the Sicsock.com gift box collection.

“I am very excited to be involved with everyone at Sicsock and this new venture of the Limerick-themed gift box collection. We are very proud to also help Novas at this time of year and support their work,” Declan said on Instagram.

The Declan Hannon Sicksock gift box includes three pairs of socks, designed by Declan, who was inspired by retro Limerick jerseys and his love for the city. For every box sold, 3 pairs of socks will be donated to Novas.

Sicsock was founded by ecommerce specialists Eoghan Carroll, Paul McGurran, and Limerick businessman Declan O’Connor.

The socks are designed at the Sicsock base in the Groody Business Centre in Castletroy and manufactured in Europe using the finest quality materials.

For every pair of socks sold through the website, Sicsock donates a pair of socks to a homeless charity.

Sicsock not only sells sport themed socks, but also socks for hiking and walking and luxury cashmere, woolen, and dress socks.

Novas provides a range of services and accommodation for marginalized households throughout Ireland and believes that everyone is entitled to a home. They support their clients through housing, health, and recovery, and recognize the issues that cause homelessness, and endeavor to offer holistic, long-term solutions.

Their first service in Ireland was a temporary supported, low-threshold accommodation in Limerick in 2002. Since then, they have grown significantly, and have more than 30 services in Limerick, Clare, Tipperary, Dublin, Cork, and Kerry.

Their services include temporary accommodation and long-term housing, a Street Outreach, Family Hubs, and much more. They also provide drug services including a Mid-West Community Detox Service and a Respite House for the families and loved ones of people in addiction.

The Declan Hannon Sicsock gift box is the perfect gift for any Limerick fan and helps support an amazing cause that is in particular need at this time of the year.
