The beauty of the picturesque twin towns of Killaloe and Ballina await anyone eager to attend the 22nd Annual Feile Brian Boru Festival 2015 that will take place from Wed, July 1 to Sun, July 5. Through the Féile Brian Ború Festival 2015, the committee aims to celebrate Ireland’s Greatest High King and keep alive the name of the Great Brian Ború in his native place, Killaloe/Ballina, from where he ruled this country.
Killaloe and Ballina may never again regain their status as Ireland’s capital, but they will certainly prove the place to be or to visit in 2014/2015 and beyond. With a busy programme of events, Féile Brian Ború 2015 promises to be a great five days of unrivaled fun and entertainment – a perfect fun-filled event for all the family.
From Wed, July 1 – Sun, July 5, experience a variety of excellent and entertaining events, including: The Furey’s Live in concert, a stunning fireworks display over the River Shannon, traditional craft experience with CELT, traditional street games, animal magic with their amazing display of animals, historical guided tours, street theatre and live music. The Ború Busking Competition will always take place, along with children’s art exhibitions and displays, a table quiz, a farmer’s market, a craft market, Garden party, Shannon swim, soul SUP and much more.
The organizers of the festival encourage everyone to come along to help commemorate Brian Ború in style – Fun and entertainment for all the family guaranteed. The Festival highlight is The Furey’s, live in concert, and will take place at the Lakeside Hotel, Sun July 5.
