Limerick’s beloved 5-piece Hermitage Green treated fans to a series of “warm-up shows” ahead of the band’s highly anticipated North American Tour.

The band made the announcement in June that it would be playing the gigs in some of their “favourite venues” across Ireland where they “haven’t played in a long time”.

As well as shows in Dublin and Cork, the group didn’t overlook its hometown announcing a gig in Dolan’s as part of the pre-tour.

With limited capacity in what are now smaller venues for the group, tickets went fast to see the Limerick rockers in action ahead of the North American trip.

In the social media post expressing their excitement for the series of shows, the band noted their loyal fans would be in for a treat, saying, “S’gonna be a new show with new tunes played for the first time!”

Before taking to the Dolan’s stage, which has seen many a great act earn their colours in the past, Hermitage Green said, “The third and final warmup show for our North American tour is tonight at home in Dolan’s. The first proper stage we ever stepped on was in the Warehouse. S’good to be back hey!”

The North American tour will see the group play in the USA with stops in Illinois, New York, Wisconsin, and Massachusetts, with Waterloo and Toronto shows in Canada too.

The North American tour caps off a busy year for the group which included a St Patrick’s weekend of gigs across Australia, as well as a Live at King John’s Castle show in Limerick. The group proudly took to the stage ahead of a crucial Munster hurling Championship game at the TUS Gaelic Grounds when Limerick took on Cork in May.
