The publication will provide a unique insight into Limerick’s All-Ireland success that made it three in a row for the team.

Limerick was awarded their third All-Ireland title against Kilkenny. With the final score being Limerick 1-31 and Kilkenny 2-26.  Limerick pulled away in the first half, and withstood a Kilkenny comeback in the second before the bench pulled away for a well-deserved win in the end.

Illustrated Tales From The Limerick Terraces was crafted by two loyal Limerick hurling supporters, Niall Deegan who wrote the book, and Liam O’Brien who edited it.

Niall said the third successive All-Ireland win made him feel “so proud to be a Limerick man” and that he wanted to capture what the historic win was like from a supporter’s perspective.

The editor Liam took to Facebook and said “I’ve been privileged to work on this very worthwhile project of Niall Deegan’s over the past few months. Many thanks to all our contributors for submitting so many wonderful photos and stories for the book.”

There are almost 550 Limerick hurling supporters featured in the book with accompanying text and images from the day. The 112-page book also features iconic characters such as Christy Keogh and Davy Ryan.

The net profits from the book will go to Milford Care Centre. Milford Care Centre is not just a Hospice Inpatient Unit. They provide multiple services to the community.  These include hospice at home services, a nursing home, day care for both older people and those with palliative care needs. They also offer bereavement support for families.

Illustrated Tales From The Limerick Terraces retails at €15.00, plus postage, and is available to purchase through PayPal and Revolut. Orders can be made by emailing [email protected].
