It is a Christmas tale for all the family to enjoy. ‘A Christmas Tale at the Castle’ is suitable for all ages, with carol singers, and light mapping with special effects while having some delicious food and browsing King John’s Castle Gift Shop.

This will be King John’s Castle’s first Christmas since the ownership of Limerick city’s premier tourist attraction was transferred to the Council-owned Discover Limerick company from Shannon Heritage in April.

Mary Kelly, Sales and Marketing Manager with Discover Limerick said, “We are delighted to announce details of our Christmas offering at King John’s Castle – A Christmas Tale at the Castle. It is a 3D audio visual festive animation outdoor show projected onto the castle walls, bringing the castle courtyard to life this Christmas.”

“Soak up the festive atmosphere as the castle illuminates with characters and stories, followed by carol singers treating the audience to Christmas favourites. It promises to be one of the highlights of the calendar of events planned for Christmas in Limerick 2022.”
