Barringtons Hospital Great Limerick Run 10km is taking place May 3. The run is a mass participation sporting event, and is all about encouraging individuals to compete and to achieve their personal goals. Launched in May 2010, there was over 12,000 participants in the event last year. The run has something for everyone; you can participate in the fully certified marathon, a half-marathon, a 6 Mile Run/Walk or a Relay Marathon.
For those who have signed up, but haven’t started their training plan yet, Leanne Moore is organising a Saturday bootcamp, starting March 21. The 6-week course aims to get you fighting fit for the big day.
Leanne Moore is a singer, part of the Irish girlband Liir, and is a regularly seen on TV screens as a presenter. Leanne is also a qualified Personal Trainer and is extremely passionate about exercise. She runs fitness bootcamps and works as a trainer in various gyms in Limerick, Dublin and Wicklow. Leanne also offers training plans online and is passionate about not only getting results with clients, but also instilling a love of fitness in their lives. She also co-runs a successful food and fitness blog (The A Department) with her partner David Behan, where they share their training and healthy-eating tips. Leanne’s bootcamp will be running from Saturday March 21 to Saturday April 25, 10am-11am. It will be held in The Body Building, Raheen, Limerick. You can check out The Body Building on their Facebook page here. The prices are €80 (with race entry), and €60 (without race entry).
