‘The young people have been very busy organising the week and we are looking forward to the celebrations, particularly the Youth Party,’ said youth worker Emily.

The LGBTQI+  Youth Group has been to the fore in supporting young people and their families who identify as LGBTQI+.

‘Although attitudes have changed there are still young people for whom ‘coming out’ can be a lonely and tough place and that is where our group helps,’ said Emily.

‘We have two groups (one for 14-17yrs and the other for 18-23yrs) who meet weekly at LYS where they meet friends and access support and information on issues such as sexuality and gender,’ said Emily.
